Our current beneficiaries are Baptist Hospital's maternity ward in Nashville, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt’s newborn nursery, and Nurses for Newborns a non-profit organization that provides nurse home visits to at-risk babies across Tennessee. Over seven thousand babies are born at Baptist Hospital each year, and nearly 43% of them are born in need. Approximately 50% of the 10,000 babies born at Vanderbilt each year are in need and 100% of the babies that Nurses for Newborns serves are in need. That's over 7,000 babies born in Nashville alone that need your help. It is these babies that we plan to reach out to.

We divide your donations into individual bags. The bags bear the Strick's Gift logo, and the items are wrapped in blue tissue paper. We hope to have at least seven days worth of clothing for each newborn. With each bag delivered to the child, a card of well wishes from "one angel to another" is attached. This gift is brought directly to the baby in need just hours after he or she is born.

This is a unique opportunity to impact newborns almost immediately. Additionally, it is a unique opportunity to address a significant need that you may not have realized is so great. As Strick's Gift grows and the word is spread, we will add more beneficiaries and expand the list of items that can be donated.
